We're thrilled to share our trip to Japan with you, where we sought out innovative new CNC technologies. MAZAK afforded us an exclusive opportunity to witness firsthand one of their latest 5-axis machines: the Variaxis 1050. This sophisticated piece of machinery represents another leap in 5-axis machining capabilities, and it's coming back with us!
With a capacity to accommodate workpieces of up to 49 inches in diameter and 35 inches in height, coupled with a spindle speed of 10,000 RPM, and a tool magazine of 120 tools, the Variaxis 1050 sets a new standard for machining larger, and more complex parts at Precise Tool & Manufacturing. We can't wait to see one of these grace our 5-axis department.
As we've covered in other blogs and videos on our social media, 5-axis machines provide numerous benefits, such as machining difficult shapes from solid, reducing set-ups, and overall cost. The MAZAK Variaxis 1050 adds another key ability - larger & more COMPLEX parts.
We've invested millions into a state-of-the-art 5-axis department that contains many Variaxis 5-axis CNC-Machines from MAZAK. And with each new model we've acquired, it's increased the total possible size of parts we can machine, and this is no different! Its extensive travel range, including 47 inches on the X-axis, 55 inches on the Y-axis, and 35 inches on the Z-axis, ensures unparalleled versatility and maneuverability, empowering customers to tackle a diverse range of size projects with confidence and precision.
Furthermore, the Variaxis - 1050 is equipped with an array of advanced features designed to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. These include 213 PSI high-pressure coolant capabilities, probing functionalities, and an expansive 120-tool magazine, facilitating seamless workflow and maximizing productivity.
